For the past 20 years, public opinion has identified field of lack of discipline as the number one problem facing beginning teachers. The overwhelming majority of beginning teachers routinely express concerns about classroom control and frequently experience discipline problems during their initial months and year in the classroom (Rogan, Borich, amp; Taylor, 1992).
